This American actress and model was born as Margaret Denise Quigley in Honolulu. She has two older sisters and two older half-siblings from her mother's previous marriage. Her American father with Polish and Irish roots was born in New York. Her Vietnamese mother meets her father in Vietnam when he was stationed during the Vietnam War. Her mother moved as immigrant to Hawaii with her father after the war. The family moved later from Honolulu to Mililani Town where they settled.


She had an short-term relation with actor Daniel Henney in 2005 for a few months. She started an relation with American actor Justin Long in may 2007 after their meeting at the Playboy mansion. Their relation lasts until they seperate in august 2007. She had an relation with American movie director/writter Brett Ratner from april 2008 until august 2010. She started an relation with American actor Dylan McDermott in september 2014, after their meeting in an coffee bar in Brentwood where they eat breakfast. She posed for renowned Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee in ''Kee's 2006 charity photo-book "Super Stars", which was dedicated to the victims of the 2004 Asian tsunami disaster and consisted of photographs of 300 Asian celebrities.

The mission turns out to be a trap of Ryuichi, in order to avenge his partner's death, who was assassinated by one of Madam M's girls. Ryuichi kills Madam M and captures Katt, while Charlene manages to escape. Charlene tries to rescue Katt and sees helplessly through bullet-proof glass how Katt is being tortured and killed by Ryuich with a sword. The enraged Charlene battles against Ryuichi when she finally manages to kill him after an intense fight.

She's outspoken on the subject of animal rights and has taken part in PETA Asia's campaigns promoting vegetarianism. She posed nearly nude in a bed of crimson chili peppers in an PETA ad and wears a bikini which is made entirely of strategically placed lettuce leaves next to the tagline "Turn Over a New Leaf – Try Vegetarian!" in an second ad for PETA Asia. She was named as PETA Asia-Pacific's "Person of the Year" in 2008 and the organization has also listed her as one of the "Best-Dressed Celebrities" of 2008.
